Happy Friday!!

Girl Friday Virginia is here with two awesome projects using our
Lovely Links Fri-Dies and Lovely Greetings.
She calls them:
One border die, two colorful ways!

Oh gosh, these cards are both so great!
Check out the cool techniques she used to create them.

For card #1, I created a colorful paper with water-colors with Peerless

I used a pattern paper for the base and created a vibrant background. Add the sentiment with black card stock, sequins and thread, this card is complete!

For card #2, I created a softer watercolor paper with Gelatos. I purposedly left the small hearts inside the dies as they add more colors and interest.

I stamped the sentiment with two colors (Teal/Mint and Black). Thus, it makes a stronger statement.

Thanks Virginia!
These are so pretty!!!

Happy Wednesday!

Are you ready for some Butterbows goodness??
Girl Friday Angie
created this super pretty card using our Butterbows stamp set
and 4 Petals Fri-Dies

It's dramatic and pretty and so encouraging!
I just love how she created a butterfly from the
4 Petals Fri-Die set.

She created a photo collage of her step by step creation
and also included written instructions to go with.

Materials:
Stamps: CAS-ual Fridays Butterbows
Cardstock: White, Kraft, patterned paper
Ink: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, Black
Accessories: CAS-ual Fridays Stamps 4 Petal Set Fri-Dies, Big Shot, corner rounder, black thread/twine, black marker, kraft silky ribbon, foam dimensional.

Directions
1. Cut white yardstick piece 5 1/2” x 4” and stamp butterfly rainbow in red ink at far left edge.
2. Stamp butterfly rainbow again in orange ink, a little bit to the right of the first stamped image. Repeat again with yellow ink, then green ink, then blue ink, and finally purple ink, making sure to move image a little bit to the right with each new color.
3. Make a Kraft cardstock base of 5 1/2” x 4”, and use corner rounder on top right corner of it and the white stamped piece, then adhere white piece to card front.
4. Use the larger 4-Petal Set Fri-Die with patterned paper to make your “butterfly”.
5. Stamp the sentiment in black ink at bottom right of card. Decide where to place your “butterfly”, and use black marker to draw black center line and antennae. (Use butterfly stamp as a guide to copy.) Attach your “butterfly” with foam dimensional, and add black thread/twine to center.
6. Tie kraft silky ribbon along left edge of card. (I did this because I had to cover up an ink boo-boo!)
7. Finished!

I know you'll have fun with this one!

Happy Tuesday!

Girl Friday Zoey has a fantastically sunny card for you today.
She's blended her mixed media art style
with our Out Loud and Casual Elegance sets to create this...

I really like how she stamped the Out Loud poem that I wrote in such a way
that only portions of it appear.

And I think the pretty Casual Elegance vines add a touch of sophistication and elegance.

That lovely sentiment is such a powerful focal point.
The black thread looped lazily around it adds such a soft and easy happiness to it.

Zoey has a video to go with this beauty.

Happy Monday!

Last month, Girl Friday Kelly
shared beautifully scrapbooked recipes.
Today she is back with more!!

As a gift for family members getting married,
Kelly creates these loving family recipe pages complete with
family memories.
I can't tell you how much I love this idea!
It's a real treat for me to see CAS-ual Fridays on these fabulous pages.

Here she's used our Bubble Labels Fri-Dies and
filled them with sentiments from our Mwah and 3 In a Row sets.
She embossed them in white on vellum to keep the cloud look
and added the outline with white gel pen.

I really love how she stamped the heart over and over to get that stamped off look
to create the sun that she then added gold pipe cleaner to.

Here she used our Stalk Up Fri-Dies to add fun borders to the photos.
I really love how she used the long leaf from Mon Ami to stamp and color
the banner looking border for her Lovely Greetings sentiment panel.

A great tip from Kelly to get long lasting dimension
is to cut the same die cut from chipboard and back your pretty image with that.
It give you lift that will last!

Happy Saturday!

Deepti has done it again.
She has created not only a stunning card that will make your jaw drop,
but she also has an easy to follow tutorial for you!
Yay Deepti!

Supplies used - Mon Ami Stamp set, Mon Ami Fleur and Shuffle Fri dies

Gorgeous, right?!
Here's how she did it...

Step 1 - Stamp, color and die cut the flower stamp

Step 2 - Cut out a window from the panel using shuffle Fri die

Step 3 - Make a pencil guide line through this window on the card base

Step 4 - Mask the edges with post it notes and ink creating a gradient from dark to light.

Step 5 - Stamp the stems of the flowers

Step 6 - Adhere the top panel on the card base adding some foam dots. Then add the flowers and some sequins to finish the card.

I love how she tucked one flower under the panel and popped one on the outside.
Super pretty!!

Did you hear that Deepti has a brand new class that just opened at Craftsy??
If you love water color techniques, or wish you could be better at them,
this one is for you!

Happy Friday!

Today Girl Friday Marcie
has a great card
and a fun tutorial to go with it.

I think the big glittery star and embossed sentiment from our Twinkle set
look fabulous against her hand inked background.
She used a really fun and easy technique for her stars
by creating her own stencil.

Here's how she did it:

Easy peasy!

Have fun playing with this technique.
Just think of all the fun backgrounds you can create.

July 2

Happy Thursday!!

Today we have a quick and fun tutorial from Girl Friday Jingle.
She's made a wonderful colorful card
using our Butterbows set
that would be great for a number of occasions.

She took the time to photograph a few of the steps and
provide directions so you'll be able to make colorful
rainbow cards too!
Yay Jingle!

Ready? Here we go...

1. Place butterbow stamp on press or block.
2. Use daubers to apply ink in sections in rainbow colors.
3. Reactivate the ink before stamping by breathing on the stamp. (I know it sounds weird, just do it. It works.)

4. Stamp image onto cardstock.
5. Curve the top sentiment a bit and then stamp over the rainbow.
6. Stamp lower sentiment.

7. Mat white panel on red cardstock and mount on an orange card base.

Such a great look and so easy to do!
Give it a try!
Please be sure to pin your CFS projects to Pinterest
and use #casfridays so we can find them.

Tomorrow we'll have 2 super fun announcements!!
